Intro to Block Printing
Barn Quilt Basics
Create a set of six hand-printed greeting cards using the
single-color block print method. Design, carve and print
your images to create unique and lovely greeting cards.
Barn quilts are no longer just for
rural barns. Painted in bold, vivid
colors, they can be seen on garages,
sheds and fences for all to enjoy.
You can choose the Lone Star
design or select from 48 geometric
patterns. If you choose the Lone
Star design, it will be ready for
colors to be assigned to each block after taping. If you
choose a geometric pattern, you will work on a gridded
blank compatible with design options on the pattern board
the day of class. Aluminum composite material (outdoor
quality) will be used along with outdoor house paint.
Supply list will be sent so you can gather your own supplies.

Cyanotype Prints
Cyanotypes are one of the oldest photographic printing
processes in history. Create your own nature prints using
UV rays from the sun and iron salt solutions to achieve the
classic Prussian blue color.

for the day. There are many themes to choose from, and you will
need to preselect your sign when you register. These are honestly
too cute! You will be using paint, so dress appropriately.
