Music
Introduction to Accordion
Discover the instrument, its music, and its people
in this beginning accordion class. You will learn
the basics of accordion playing (button or piano
style), the ability to read basic tablature, and
explore the rich musical heritage of the instrument.
Bring to class: your accordion; however, if you do not have one,
a limited supply is available for use in class. When you register,
you will indicate whether you are bringing your own accordion or
borrowing one. If you are borrowing, what type would you like to
learn — piano or button? Each type of accordion will receive
30 minutes of style-specific instruction, plus 30-shared minutes
in the middle of class.
