Registration for this course begins May 18.
Prerequisites: Student must have a school or learner permit
before registering for any upcoming Driver Education course.
Students must complete both the lecture and drive labs to be
eligible for documentation for the provisional operator’s permit
(POP) and/or insurance requirements. Our program serves
students under 18 years of age.
Instruction consists of face-to-face or online lecture and
behind-the-wheel training (lab) that meets separately.
Participation in an orientation is required before each
class. A Zoom link will be sent one week before the
orientation to the email address that was used to
register. If you use gmail, please check your junk folder.

NOTE: Attendance is critical to the student’s success. Each class
and lab must be attended as scheduled. Driver Education course
requires a minimum of one-week advance notice prior to the
start date to receive a full refund or to transfer.
Required book, “How to Drive” 15th edition, is available
at the SCC Campus Store, 8800 O St., Lincoln, or
at sccbookstore.com.

SECTIONS BEGINNING SEPT. 14:
Face-to-face lecture will meet twice each week for five
weeks, or online for six weeks. The two-hour drive lab
meets once a week for six weeks. Drive labs are offered
Monday through Friday, with a starting time of 3:30 or
5:45 p.m. (SCC drive time of 4 p.m. or 6:15 p.m.), or on
Saturday starting at 8 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 1 p.m.,
or 3:15 p.m.
