PLC Application Programming & Techniques
This advanced course builds on the foundational skills
learned in the Introduction to PLC class and focuses on more
complex programming techniques using the Automation
Direct “Click” PLC platform. Over three days, you will deepen
your understanding of PLC functionality, data handling and
hardware integration.
The course emphasizes practical applications, including HMI
communication, sequential control and advanced instructions, with
approximately 50% of class time dedicated to hands-on wiring and
programming exercises.

Basic Welding
Gas Metal Arc Welding I (Steel) WELD-1000
This is an opportunity for welders of all skill levels to enhance
their skills. Classes include safe operation of MIG, TIG, Stick,
and Oxyacetylene and related shop equipment through
hands-on practical welding experiences.
This is an introduction to Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) theory,
safety, applications, manipulative skills, welding principles,
and procedures. Filler wires, shielding gases, welding power
sources, welding of carbon steel, and welding processes on
different joint configurations are included.
(2.4 CEUs) Students must bring safety glasses, leather gloves, arcwelding helmet, pliers and wear closed-toed leather shoes, cotton
pants/jeans (no shorts) and a long-sleeve cotton shirt.

Welding Studio
This hands-on welding skills studio is designed for learners
of all skill levels, whether you are striking your first arc
or refining advanced techniques. Participants choose the
welding process they want to learn or improve — MIG,
TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored Arc Welding — allowing the class
to adapt to personal interests, project goals, and existing
skill levels.
(0.9 CEUs) Students must bring safety glasses, leather gloves, arcwelding helmet, pliers and wear closed-toed leather shoes, cotton

Prerequisite: Successful completion of WELD-1000 or appropriate
AWS Certification
This class is intermediate to advanced instruction in Gas
Metal Arc Welding theory, safety, applications, manipulative
skills, welding principles, and procedures. Filler wires,
shielding gases, welding power sources, welding of aluminum
and welding processes on different joint configurations
are included.
